Fishing

The many lochs across the estate provide excellent brown trout fishing. The larger Loch Damph is very close and can be fished from shore or boat. Sea loch fishing is available in the nearby villages of Kishorn and Sheildaig.

Both the Gorm Lochs as well as numerous other small hill lochs provide exciting brown trout fishing, with fish weights running to approximately half a pound.

We recommend bringing an OS map of the area before to setting off on foot. Alternatively with our ghillie we can offer the all-terrain Argo for the lochs further a field. OS reference 1:25000 Explorer Series no. 428 and 429 or 1:50000 Land Range No. 24 & 25 recommended.

You are asked to provide your own tackle but local shops in Lochcarron and Sheildaig do hire and sell equipment. The weather can change quickly here and so you are advised to take suitable clothing, food and drink.
