Kinlochdamph Lodge

Kinlochdamph Lodge was built in 1875 by Lord Lovelace the then owner of the Lochcarron estate. It was intended as a weekend get away from the larger Torridon House. The lodge was situated at the junction of four old droving routes at the southern shoreline of loch Damph. It provides a tranquil and romantic spot.

Recently renovated and modernised, the comfortable self catered accommodation sleeps ten adults between three double rooms and one bunk room that sleeps four along with three bathrooms, one shower room, and a kitchen with electric stove plus gas back up. An additional annex was built more recently in the 1980’s which now serves as additional parking and deer larder facility with drying rooms and additional bathroom.

  • Lounge with an open fire, has views over the surrounding countryside through double aspect windows. Comfortable seating, TV for playing DVDs only (No TV reception available). CD player and a selection of DVDs and CDs plus plenty of reading material.
  • Dining room - conservatory with stunning views from all windows. Seating for up to 8 people. Access to patio and barbeque area.
  • Drying room - has a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, adequate storage for coats, boots, fishing rod etc. Gun cabinet for use if stalking on the estate. Access to separate garage area.
  • Bathroom with whb, wc and shower cubicle with electric shower. Heated towel rail.
  • Stairs leading to two upstairs bedrooms. Twin bedroom, and one double bedroom. Both rooms look to the rear of the lodge toward the loch. Bathroom with sit in shower, wc and whc.
  • Large fully equipped kitchen with wood burning stove. Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and all the usual kitchen appliances. Extra storage room. Small dining table. The kitchen has lovely views toward Loch Damph and overlooks one of the patio areas.
  • Downstairs bedroom with double bed and bunk beds (suitable for children). Double aspect windows with views over the surrounding countryside.
  • Cold room.
  • Stairs leading to master bedroom with adjacent bathroom, bath, wc and whb. Heated towel rail. Double bedroom with stunning view over the adjoining land and mountains of the Bealach.
  • Garage area with - table tennis table and skittles. The garage is large enough to store bikes, canoes etc. Deer larder for use if stalking on the estate. Separate toilet.
  • Electricity - heating by electric storage heaters, fuel for fires.
  • Bed linen and towels.
  • Travel cot and high chair.
  • One pet is welcome.
  • Gas barbeque and stone build barbeque on the patio. Patio table and chairs. Midge eater available later in 2010.
  • Trout fishing on the river and bank fishing on Loch Damph and the hill lochs.
  • The use of a rowing boat can be arranged at an additional cost either daily or weekly.
  • Stalking can be arranged on the estate - further details on request.
  • Access over the whole estate for walking and fishing.
